John Anghilante
CEO
Mr. John D. Anghilante is co-owner and managing partner of AU Fireplace Group, LLC. John has more than 25 years of experience in the fireplace, hearth and grill industry. In 1997, he founded The Chimney and Masonry Company (Westlake, OH), which is a masonry construction and fireplace restoration business that continues to grow today. In 2009, he acquired The Hearth Shop (formally in Fairview Park, OH) and merged traditional brick and mortar hearths with modern fireplace industry product sales, installation and service. John is a board member of the Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Association (HPBA) Mid-States Affiliate and graduate of HPBA Government Affairs Training. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from John Carroll University.
Thomas Uutala
CFO
Mr. Thomas J. Uutala, CFA, is co-owner and managing partner of AU Fireplace Group, LLC. In this capacity, Tom helps drive the overall strategic and financial direction of the business. Tom is also a principal of MFS Holdings, LLC–a private investment platform designed to buy and operate companies in the global infrastructure industry. Currently, MFS Holdings’ primary operating business is Miller Formless, which is a manufacturing OEM geared towards the concrete slipform industry. Prior to MFS, Tom was a portfolio manager and analyst at Victory Capital Management Inc. and served as a portfolio manager of various funds in the fund complex. Prior to that, he worked on a convertible arbitrage desk at Stark Investments and also at Crabel Capital Management. Tom is a C.F.A. charterholder. He holds a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Marquette University.
